In this 3-color risograph collage print, Boston-based artist Maya Erdelyi explores color, shape and form inspired by soundscapes and conversations. The composition has its own hidden logic and sense of movement (the origin piece for this series was actually a stop-motion puppet). Informed by her animation practice, Erdelyi sees these collages as animation stills--and visual songs—the movement and a sense of past/present/future are implied and imagined by the dynamic shapes, colors and patterns.
